Grace weighs in

On May 16, Grace had her two week pediatrician appointment. Generally, the central issue of the appointment is making sure that she regained weight lost after birth. We were of course cautiously optimistic that there would not be any concern since she had returned to her birth weight within 3 days. But being the anxious first time parents, we could not help but wonder . . .

When she hit the scales, she weighed in at 7 lb. 12 oz. My response was, "Good job Grace!" The nurse quite properly responded, "Good job Mom!"

All is well, and absent any problems between now and then, she doesn't go back until she is 2 months old. But look out, she gets something like 5 or 6 immumizations at that one!
